• Raymond Joseph Willson made an initial appearance on three counts of a probation violation charge and two counts of a harassment-first degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the harassment charges is at 1 p.m. on Oct. 26. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only. No contact orders have been issued for the protected parties. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Willson is being held without bond.

• Brooke Maree Hickman made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Oct. 22. Hickman is released on her promise to appear. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jagger Cain Purk, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a violation of pre-trial release charge, a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge and a speeding charge. Purk is going to hire Doug Beals as counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 28 for the traffic charges. Pre-trial release is revoked and a bond of $2,000 cash only is instated.

• Patrick Keegan Bracy made an initial appearance on nine counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Bracy is being held without bond. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Amanda Mary McClellan made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 5. McClellan is released on her promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Falon Taris Kapayou, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a possession of alcohol under the legal age limit charge. Kapayou pleaded guilty and the fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330, due within 30 days.

Citations

• On Thursday, Jagger Cain Purk, 25, was cited for no insurance and speeding.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Kenneth Corwin, 59, was arrested for no proof of vaccination and dogs at large.

• On Wednesday, Brooke Hickman, 33, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Wednesday, Margarita Doege, 47, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Thursday, Amanda McClellan, 23, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Thursday, Jagger Purk, 25, was arrested for driving under suspension and on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Falon Kapayou, 18, was arrested for possession of alcohol by a person under the legal age-first offense.

• On Wednesday, Douglas Thomas, 22, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Raymond Willson, 30, was arrested for two counts of harassment-first degree and three counts of probation violation.

Accidents

• On Wednesday, a car driven by Suzanne Marie Stroud, 43, of Dubuque, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway suffering major damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Stroud car was estimated at $10,000.

• On Thursday, a pickup driven by Benjamin Scott Welch, 38, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on the Garwin Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Welch pickup was estimated at $5,000.
