Court — Wednesday

• John Brandon Robovsky made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Robovsky is released on his promise to appear.

• Brennan Cole Johnson made an initial appearance on a failure to appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Johnson is released directly to the Halfway House.

• Joseph D. Ashby made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a probation violation charge. Aron Vaughn will continue as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Ashby is being held without bond.

• Allison Louise Sayre made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. Aron Vaughn will continue as counsel. The arraignment hearing will be rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 29. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Simon Lee Buffalo made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference charge. Jeff Hazen will continue as counsel. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Dev. 7. Buffalo is released on his promise to appear and is ordered to contact his attorney on Wednesday.

• Brad Michael Edwards made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Edwards pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled 9:30 a.m. n Jan. 23, 2019, in Magistrate Court.

• Juan Carlos Velazco Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 7. Velazco was released on his promise to appear.

Incidents

• On Wednesday, a theft of a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South Sixth Avenue.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Brennan Johnson, 22, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Allison Sayre, 37, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Joseph Ashby, 36, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Monday, a minivan driven by Kimberly Marissa Brown, 25, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on East Nevada Street when a vehicle driven by Nyein Pay, 60, of Marshalltown, driving in front of her swung wide to pull into a driveway and Brown continued forward on the right colliding with the passenger side front quarter panel. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pay vehicle was estimated at $1,000 while the Brown minivan received an estimated $1,800 in damage.

• On Monday, a pickup driven by Steven Edmund Schmitz, 59, of Gladbrook, was going through the Walmart parking lot when it went to turn down another alleyway and struck the stop sign post disabling the pickup. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Schmitz pickup was estimated at $3,000 while the stop sign received an estimated $150 in damage.

• On Tuesday, Nov. 20, Simon Lee Buffalo, 37, was arrested on a warrant.
