• Joshua Christian Reece made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. Reece pleaded guilty to both charges. • Arturo Manzo Macias made an initial appearance on two counts a driving under suspension charge, a failure to maintain control charge and a no insurance charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Christian Brandon Mason made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Mason pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Kendra Christine Savage, 23, of Marshalltown, was entering an apartment complex parking area when it struck a legally parked Hyundai Elantra and left the scene. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Savage pickup was estimated at $1 while the Hyundai Elantra sustained an estimated $1,500 in damage.

Accidents

• On Friday, a car driven by Ray Eugene Willits, 68, of Union, was southbound on Hopkins Avenue when it struck a deer on the traveled portion of the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Willits car was estimated at $10,000.
