• Alexander James Hosch made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 4. Hosch is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Dion Lee Knapp made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a possession of a controlled substance charge and a driving under suspension charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 4. Knapp is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Edward Eugene Gentry made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Gentry pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Jacob Allen Chamberlain made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 28. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Adrain Paul Swensen made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 4. Swensen is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office and sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Lindsey Marie Smith made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 4. Smith is released on his promise to appear.

• Jessica Charvarria made an initial appearance on a truancy charge. Chavarria pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on March 27 in Magistrate Court.

• Amphay Songkhamdet made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Songkhamdet pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Jared Alvin Kupka made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. Kupka provided proof of insurance and the case was dismissed with court costs of $60 assessed, due in 30 days.

• Jose A. Preciado Santana made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. Preciado Santana pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 27 in Magistrate Court.
