• Stanley Thomas Fenske Jr. made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture or deliver charge, a possession of a controlled substance-marijuana with the intent to manufacture or deliver charge, a failure to affix a drug tax stamp charge, a keeping a premises or vehicle for the purpose of using or selling drugs charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 25. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

• Cody Tague made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-strangulation charge, a domestic abuse assault charge and a domestic abuse assault charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 25. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. No contact orders have been issued for the protected parties.

• Vann Joe Griffith made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for arraignment hearings in two cases charge. Aron Vaughn will continue as counsel. The arraignment hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19. Griffith is being held without bond.

• Joshua Michael Frederick, of Sioux City, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference charge. Mark Olberding will continue as counsel. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. on March 8. Frederick is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact the adult probation office within 72 hours.

• Alonso Hernandez Rodriguez made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence charge, a failure to maintain control charge and a expired driver’s license charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 7. Hernandez Rodriguez is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Christopher James Anderson made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Tyler Heeren is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by then District Associate Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Rodney Bagby made an initial appearance on a truck route violation charge. Bagby pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Tiffany Ann Davis made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in an assured, clear distance charge. Davis pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Alejandro Antonio Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance-accident charge. Gonzalez pleaded not guilty and pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Antonio Jaramillo made an initial appearance on a failure to appear/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 4. Jaramillo is released on his promise to appear.

• A 16-year-old female from Ankeny made an initial appearance on a curfew violation charge. She pleaded guilty and a sentence of 10 hours of community service was imposed for the fine and surcharge plus $60 in court costs to be completed by May 15.

• Elnour Augustin Elniel Manawar made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Manawar provided a current driver’s license and the charge was amended to an expired driver’s license. Manawar pleaded guilty and the fine is $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50, due within 30 days.

• Rafael Antonio Rodriguez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Rodriguez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Vanessa Yoselin Perez Sanchez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Perez Sanchez pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Nathan Alexander Buchanan made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Court judge and then parole board. Buchanan is being held without bond.
