Court — Wednesday

• Richard Scott Aschan made an initial appearance on a Sexual exploitation of a minor charge and a dissemination or distribution of obscene materials to a minor charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 5. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Carl Eugene Bartell made an initial appearance on a pre-trial release violation charge. Pre-trial release is revoked and a bond of $25,000 cash or surety instated.

• Seth James Gummert made an initial appearance on two counts of a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 16. Gummert is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Jillissa Sue Handorf made an initial appearance on a harassment charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore was appointed as counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 1 in Magistrate Court. Handorf is released on her promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Michael James Grommet made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. A parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Court judge and the Department of Correctional Services. Grommet is being held without bond.

• Jamell Goodman made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference charge. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 3 in Magistrate Court. Goodman is released on her promise to appear.

• Tera Leann Kibbee made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a possession of cocaine charge, a keeping a premises or vehicle for the purposes of selling or using drugs charge, four counts of a child endangerment charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 16. Bond will remain as posted until the conclusion of this case. No-contact orders were issued for the four protected parties. The court ordered that Kibbee be photographed and fingerprinted in connection with this case.

• Rabby Bakonga Misakabo made an initial appearance on a failure to give information and aid charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m on May 1 in Magistrate Court.

• A 17-year-old female was unable to appear on a violation of an instruction permit charge. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on June 19 in Magistrate Court.

• Randy Melvin Oberhokamp made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no valid driver’s license charge, a no insurance charge and a fraudulent use of registration charge. Oberhokamp pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driving under suspension and no insurance charges the fines are $250 with an $87.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $402.50 for each charge. The fine on the no driver’s license charge is $200 with a $70 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $335. The county attorney’s office dismissed the registration violation and $60 in court costs were assessed. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Jerrel Irokl Solang made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. Solang pleaded guilty to both charges and the fines are $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 for each, due within 30 days.

• On Tuesday, a theft was reported in the 100 block of North Second Street.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Deborah Ferguson, 67, was arrested for possession of marijuana-second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Tuesday, Robert Meling, 40, harassment-first degree-threaten forcible felony.

• On Wednesday, Michael Grommet, 34, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Jamell Goodman, 59, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Alexander Ethan Willet, 24, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Rigoberto Salas, 24, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Monday, car driven by Spencer Alan Tweedy, 18, of Gladbrook, was westbound on 290th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway, swerved and entered the south ditch where it came to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Tweedy car was estimated at $3,000.
