Court — Tuesday

• James Fred Douglas made an initial appearance on a warrant charging him with pre-trial release violation, two counts of contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order and domestic abuse assault. Christian Stickrod will continue as counsel on the pre-trial release case. Pre-trial release is revoked and a bond of $2,000 cash only is instated. Aron Vaughn is appointed as counsel on the contempt of court action. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on June 7 in Magistrate Court. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel on the domestic abuse assault case. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on June 7. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Aaron Lee Siebrecht made an initial appearance on a alternate parking violation charge. Siebrecht pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on June 26 in Magistrate Court.

• David Brown made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a speeding charge, a no insurance charge and an operation without registration charge. Brown pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on June 26 in Magistrate Court.

• Arianne R. Exposito made an initial appearance through a Spanish interpreter on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge, an operation without registration charge and a dark windows or windshield charge. Exposito pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on June 26 in Magistrate Court.

• Joshua Jeske made an initial appearance on a seat belt violation charge. Jeske pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on June 26 in Magistrate Court.

• A 16-year-old male made an initial appearance on a violation of a restricted license charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on June 26 in Magistrate Court.

Accidents

• On Saturday, a vehicle driven by Crisanto Ledesma-Madrigal, 72, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Southridge Road at the intersection with South Center Street when the driver attempted a left turn on a red light and collided with a van driven by Jeffrey Lynn Crookshank, 63, of Le Grand. No injuries were reported. Ledesma-Madrigal was cited for no valid driver’s license. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,000 each.

• On Tuesday, a car driven by Glendona Lee Vest, 46, of Albion, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Vest car was estimated at $7,500.

Arrests

• On Friday, Gilberto Rivera Rodriguez, 37, was arrested for driving while barred.

• On Friday, Shaunna Fertig, 46, was arrested on a warrant charging her with forgery and theft-second degree.

• On Friday, Ncamgwanko Gabriel, 57, was arrested for operating a non-registered vehicle and driving while license is denied or revoked.

• On Saturday, Edwin Velasquez Barahona, 24, was arrested for operating a non-registered vehicle and driving while barred.

• On Saturday, Douglas Davis, 25, was arrested for improper use of registration, no insurance, no valid driver’s license and driving under suspension.

• On Saturday, Waylin Yeutter, 32, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury.

• On Sunday, Laquetta Ward, 48, was arrested for no valid driver’s license, no insurance, improper brake light, circumventing an ignition interlock device, driving under suspension, driving while barred and driving while license is denied or revoked.

• On Sunday, Jared Eibs, 30, was arrested on a warrant charging him with contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.
