• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation due to malfunction at 3202 S. 12th St., an unauthorized burning at 307 1/2 S. Second St., two dispatched/cancelled en route to 1001 Iowa Ave. W and 206 Thomas Drive and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 805 W. State St., 2007 Skyline Drive, 2802 S. Center St., 2902 S. Center St. and 3202 S. 12th St.

Aug. 10

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 7 N. 17th St., a cooking fire confined to container at 511 E. Church St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1211 W. State St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 915 Stegman Blvd. and East Madison Street and South 12th Avenue.

Aug. 9

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a passenger vehicle fire at 409 N. First Avenue and North Street, an excessive heat, scorch burns with no ignition at 428 Union St., a vehicle accident, general cleanup at 108 Iowa Ave. W, an EMS call excluding a vehicle accident with injury at 1117 W. Church St., a rescue or EMS standby at 512 1/2 N. First Ave. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 407 N. Fourth Ave., 208 W. State St., 2012 Wardview Road, 505 N. 14th Ave. and 1012 S. Seventh Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 303 Friendly Drive, two unauthorized burnings at 613 W. Linn St. and 710 1/2 E. State St., a no incident found upon arrival at the dispatch address at First Street and West Boone Street, a vehicle accident, general cleanup at 1207 Fremont St., an assist an invalid at 1012 S. Seventh Ave. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1211 W. State St., 105 W. Lincoln St., 505 May St. and 507 N. First St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 192 E. Highway 330 and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 2500 S. Center St. and 1010 Summit St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 2902 S. Center St., an assist invalid at 428 Union St., an unauthorized burning at 1802 S. Seventh Ave., a no incident found upon arrival at dispatch address at Highway 30 and 18th Avenue and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1400 Lincoln Tower Circle, 1202 W. Anson St., 1309 Rolling Meadows Road, 408 Thomas Drive, 1007 S. 12th Ave., 602 E. South St. and 609 Roberts Terrace.

Aug. 5

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an arcing, shorted electrical equipment at 720 S. 12th Ave. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 401 E. South St., 1301 Summit St., 314 Sharon Ave., 609 Roberts Terrace, 208 N. 15th St., 111 S. Third Ave. and 304 Nicholas Drive.
