Court — Monday

• Larry Lester Kunc Jr. made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-impeding the flow of air or blood and causing bodily injury charge and an obstruction of emergency communications charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Ismat Abdalla Hassan made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge and a providing false identification information charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel on the contempt charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Hassan pleaded guilty to the false identification charge and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Cory Bruce Dresch made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 10. Dresch is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Shelton Dallas Marie Coleman made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge and a child endangerment charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 10. Coleman is released on her promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Breanna Leigh Harrelson made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel. The arraignment hearing will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Jaime Guido Sanchez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Sanchez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 due within 30 days.

• Dylan Joe Bown made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. Bown pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the suspension charge is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 and on the speeding charge the fine is 40 with a $14 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $114. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Emeku Inasah Tavia White made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 11. White is released on her promise to appear. A fingerprint and photograph order was issued by the court.

• Cole William Welden made an initial appearance on a striking an unattended vehicle charge. Welden pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 due within 30 days.

• Jacob Lee Rowley made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a careless driving charge and an interference with official acts charge. Rowley will hire Barry Kaplan as counsel for the driving under suspension and interference charges. The pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m on Oct. 30 in Magistrate Court. Rowley pleaded guilty to the careless driving charge and the fine is $35 with a $12 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $107 are due within 30 days.

• Lindsay Jo Richerodt made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no seat belt charge. Richerodt pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the suspension charge is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $402.50 and on the no seatbelt charge the fine is 50 with a $17.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $132.50. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Horacio Moreno Magana made an initial appearance on ann operating while under the influence-second offense charge. Moreno Magana will represent himself before the court. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 14. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Emma Lizarde Ibarra made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Lizarde Ibarra pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 in Magistrate Court.

• Matusalen Madrigal Roman made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Madrigal Roman pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 in Magistrate Court.
