• Ian Niles Kapayou made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge, a driving while barred charge, an operating a non-registered vehicle charge and two counts of a driving under suspension charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 16. Kapayou is released on his promise to appear.
• Krystian William Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Gonzalez is being held without bond.
• Derek Edwards made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a trespass-first offense charge. Edwards pleaded guilty to both charges. On the possession of drug paraphernalia charge the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $282.75. The fine on the trespass charge is $200 with a $70 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $455. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Omar Sanchez made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Michael Shane Gohring made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-first offense charge and a failure to maintain control charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 16. Gohring is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.
• Aaron Lee Dolash made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Blaze Ryan Krough made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.
• Ronald Hinders Jr. made an initial appearance on a trespass charge, an interference with official acts charge and a violation of pre-trial release charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. Future court proceedings will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. The bond is set at $2,000 cash only.
