• Rebeca Melendez made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-third degree charge and an assault causing bodily injury charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 28. Melendez is released on her promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Patrick Bown made an initial appearance on a operating a non-registered vehicle charge and a no insurance charge. Bown pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 11 in Magistrate Court.
• Jessica Castellanos made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 11 in Magistrate Court.
• Chad Aaron McLoud made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a failure to maintain control charge and a no insurance-accident charge. McLoud will hire his own counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. McLoud was released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.
• Jose Jesus Romero Santoyo made an initial appearance through a Spanish interpreter on a driving while barred charge. He will hire his own counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 28. Santoyo was released on his promise to appear.
• Ashley Jean Bartleson made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 28. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.
