• Jake Morgan Wallen made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge, a driving while barred charge, a no insurance charge, a failure to yield to emergency vehicle charge, a theft-second degree charge and a forgery charge. Jennifer Frese has been appointed as counsel on all charges. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on March 27. Wallen is being held without bond. The preliminary hearing for all the other charges is set at 1 p.m. on March 23.

• Dillon James Knight made an initial appearance on an operating without registration charge and a driving under suspension charge. Knight pleaded guilty to all charges. The fine on the registration charge is $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50. The fine on the driving under suspension charge is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Nathan Thomas Lucas made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 23. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• Richard K. Graw made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Graw will hire Chad Frese as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on April 13. Graw is being held without bond.

• Isaiah Rae Walters made an initial appearance on a barking dog violation. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 22 in Magistrate Court.

• Robbie Steven Foster made an initial appearance on a failure to maintain control charge and a driving under suspension charge. Foster pleaded guilty to both charges. On the control charge the fine is $100 with a $35 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $200. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Maddux Jae Richardson made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-second offense charge. Richardson will hire Kevin O’Hare as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 2. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Jasmeyn Ericka Aguilar made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Aguilar pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 60 days.

• Arianne R. Exposito made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge. He pleaded not guilty and the pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 22 in Magistrate Court.

• Jacob Lee Rowley made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded not guilty and the pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 22 in Magistrate Court.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Trenton Robert Brekke, 33, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Austin McDanniel, 21, was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.

March 8

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a building fire at 210 W. Lincoln St., a carbon monoxide incident at 1902 Stratford Lane, a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 2300 Marshalltown Blvd., four dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 612 E. Linn St., 406 N. Center St., 11 S. 12th St. and 2200 240th St. and a medical assist with the EMS crew to 1009 W. Lincoln Way.

March 7

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 1509 W. Main St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 909 1/2 E. South St., 210 Palmer St., 607 E. Olive St. and 1211 W. State St.

March 6

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Center Street and McDonalds, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2315 Campbell Drive, an extrication of victims from vehicle at 113 N. Third St., an unauthorized burning at 205 S. Fifth St. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 206 Nicholas Drive, 921 N. Third Ave., 122 W. Main St., 2605 S. Center St. and 1702 Governor Road.

March 5

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an animal rescue at 402 Woodland St., two dispatched/cancelled en routes at 701 S. Seventh Ave. and 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle, an unauthorized burning at 604 S. Eighth Ave. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 109 S. Fifth Ave., 800 S. Center St. and 2602 S. Second Ave.

March 4

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 811 W. State St., an unauthorized burning at 504 N. Fourth St., three dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 2010 Bryngelson Drive, 19 S. First St., 401 N. First St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1400 Lincoln Way and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 2001 S. Fourth St., 1302 S. Third Ave. and 1211 W. State St.

March 3

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at 814 S. Sixth St. and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: Linn Street and Fourth Avenue, 1211 W. State St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 206 S. Fourth Ave., 1211 W. State St., Fifth Avenue and Main Street, 1805 Summit St. and 102 Iowa Ave. West.

March 2

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a gas lead at 201 E. Church St., a no incident found upon arrival at dispatched address at 500 W. Linn St., five dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 1301 Summit St., Highway 330 and Durham Avenue, 210 N. Third Ave., 909 S. Second St. and 212 W. Ingledue St. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 808 W. Nevada St., 312 N. First Ave., 1 Klass Court, 411 Summit St. and 206 Nicholas Drive.
