Court –Thursday

• Abdelrahman Obaidalla Abdalla made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Abdalla pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set at 9:30 a.m. on July 15 in Magistrate Court. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel.

• Nancy Quezada made an initial appearance on assault charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 30. Quezada was released on her promise to appear.

• Logan Andrew Calkins made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Christian Stickrod was appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on April 30. Calkins is released on his promise to appear. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Keyote Dean Smith made an initial appearance on a burglary-first degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 24. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Shawn Kenneth Dell made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Dell pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due within 30 days.

Incidents

• On Wednesday, two cases of arson with value on both listed more than $500 was reported in the area of North Center Street and East Marion Street.

• On Wednesday, a theft of property valued between $1,000 – $10,000 was reported in the 400 block of South 12th Avenue.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Shawn Dell, 20, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Keyote Smith, 19, was arrested for burglary-first degree.

• On Wednesday, Johnathan Rodriguez, 36, was arrested for criminal mischief-fifth degree and robbery-second degree.
