• Andre Reshad Holden made an initial appearance on a sex offender registry violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 5. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.
• Kristopher Smith made an initial appearance on a warrant for failure to appear. Jennie Wilson-Moore will continue as counsel. The sentencing hearing is rescheduled for 3:30 p.m. on June 16. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.
• Brett Allen Wolken made an initial appearance on an interference with official acts charge. The pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 2.
• Jessica Joy Kippe made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge and a disorderly conduct charge. Kippe pleaded guilty to both charges. The fines are $65for each charge with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 for each charge due within 30 days.

Accidents
• On Thursday, a vehicle driven by Jared Krausman, 21, of Grundy Center, was westbound on Highway 20 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Krausman vehicle was estimated at $4,500. • On Friday, a vehicle driven by Samantha Edwards, 37, of Latimer, ws westbound on Highway 20 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Edwards vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
• On Saturday, a Jeep driven by Deborah Sams, 45, of Whitten, was westbound on D-35 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jeep is estimated at $1,400.
