Court — Friday

• Gordon Michael Riendeau made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. Tyler Reichardt was appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 15.

• Robert Jasper Larison made an initial appearance on two counts of a firearm charge, a domestic abuse assault charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. Jeff Hazen appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 5. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Angela Todd Davis made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge, Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 26.

• Jaime Ramirez Torres made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 2.

• Coleton Jeffrey Bittner made an initial appearance on a reckless driving charge, an eluding charge, a failure to maintain a registration plate charge, two counts of a careless driving charge, a no insurance charge and a speeding charge. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 15.

• Ronald William Metivier Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. Metivier pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the speeding charge is $40 with a $14 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $114. All payments were due within 30 days.

• John Daniel Lebeck made an initial appearance on a contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order charge. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on July 15.

• Timothy John Price made an initial appearance on a fraudulent practice-fourth degree charge. Jeff Hazen will be hired. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on June 15.

• Isas Laell Devalle made an initial on a speeding charge. Devalle pleaded guilty and the fine is $40 with a $14 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $114, due in 30 days.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Adam Needs, 46, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense.

• On Thursday, Austin McDanniel, 21, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense.

• On Thursday, Lee Kenner, 41, was arrested for driving while barred.

• On Friday, Steven Nichol, 28, was arrested for driving under suspension.

May 24

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 1005 W. Lincolnway and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 108 S. Fifth Ave., 3202 S. 12th St., 708 E. Main St. and 407 N. Center St.

May 23

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a no incident on an arrival at dispatch address at 100 N. 10th Ave. and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 1702 S. Seventh Ave. and 3202 S. 12th St.

May 22

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three dispatched/canceled en routes to: 402 N. Third St., Webster Street and North Second Street and North Center Street and North First Street and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 607 E. Olive St., 409 E. Linn St. and 3202 S. 12th St.

May 21

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a passenger vehicle fire at 2500 S. Center St., three dispatched/canceled en routes to: 2954 Zeller Ave., 1701 Iowa Ave. East, 915 Merle Hibbs Blvd. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 302 NewCastle Road, 619 Ratcliffe Drive, 1202 W. Anson St. and 301 N. 12th Ave.

May 20

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded a gas leak at 910 E. Olive St. and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 412 N. First Ave. and 905 Iowa Ave. West.

May 19

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded a vehicle accident general cleanup at 200 E. Anson St. and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 410 E. State St. and 1701 S. Fifth St.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Angela Davis, 40, was arrested on a warrant charging her with theft-fifth degree.
