Court — Wednesday

• Jacqueline Kassandra Fonseca made an initial appearance on a speeding charge, a no insurance charge and two driving under suspension charges. Fonseca pleaded guilty to the speeding and no insurance charges. The fine on the speeding charge is $90 with a $31.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $181.50. The fine on the no insurance is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. All payments are due within 30 days. On the driving under suspension, a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 10 a.m. on Sept. 2 in Magistrate Court.

• Cody Douglas Walters made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 4. Bond will continue as posted. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

Walters appeared on a failure to maintain control charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $100 with a $40 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $200, due within 30 days.

• Timothy Duane Highland made an initial appearance on a sex offender area-activity violation- second or subsequent offense charge and a sex offender registry violation charge-second or subsequent offense. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 24. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

• Richard James Dolan III made an initial appearance on three counts of a child endangerment charge, a possession of marijuana charge and a domestic abuse assault charge. A preliminary hearing is set at 1 p.m. on July 24. Bond is set at $3,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Chad Leslie Andrews made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 24. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Manuel John Rodriguez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Rodriguez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Roger Wayne Lenox made an initial appearance on two counts of a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 29.

• Drew Michael Barnard made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel, The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 24.

• Kourtney Newby made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Newby pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Kristopher Matthias Kruger made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Kruger pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Etabo Felix Kipendo made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Kipendo pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• On Tuesday, a theft was reported in the 300 block of North 15th Avenue.

• On Tuesday, a case of vandalism to property was reported in the 300 block of North Third Street.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Christopher McClain, 24, was arrested for driving while license is denied, canceled, revoked or suspended.

• On Tuesday, Dawn Young, 42, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Luis Reinoza Garcia, 29, was arrested for open container.

• On Tuesday, Brittany Blocker, 33, was arrested on a warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Tuesday, Virginia Purk, 29, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On July 3, a case of vandalism to property was reported in Le Grand.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Jeremiah Brehm, 39, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana-first offense, failure to affix a drug tax stamp and speeding.

• On Tuesday, Christopher Strickland, 45, was arrested on a warrant charging him with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and domestic abuse assault-first offense.
