Court — Wednesday
• Jose Diaz-Garcia made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge and an absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 3. The preliminary hearing on the absence from custody charge is 1 p.m. on July 31. Bond is set at $10,000 cash.
• Maurice Lamont Turner made an initial appearance on an absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 31. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Kruz Mason Vasquez Stabenow made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a tinted window violation charge. Vasquez Stabenow pleaded guilty to an expired driver’s license charge and the fine is $50 with a $7.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $117.50. He also pleaded guilty to the tinted window charge and the fine is $50 with a $7.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $112.50. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Salvador Magana made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. Magana pleaded guilty to all charges. The fines on the driving under suspension and no insurance charges is $250 each, $27.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50 for each charge. The fine on the no driver’s license is $200 with a $35 surcharge and $55 in court costs for the total of $290. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Christopher Dale Strickland made an initial appearance on a violation of per-trial release charge. Pre-trial release was terminated and bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.

Arrests
• On Tuesday, Tayren Rockingham, 22, was arrested on a warrant charging him with possession of marijuana-first offense.
• On Tuesday, Jose Diaz-Garcia, 46, was arrested on a warrant charging him with voluntary absence from custody and a violation of probation.
• On Tuesday, Maurice Turner, 45, was arrested on a warrant charging him with voluntary absence from custody.
