• Miguel Angel Vidales Mendez made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Nov. 10. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Jerry Leon Briggs Jr. made an initial appearance on a harassment-third degree charge. Briggs will hire his own counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 28. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Miko Kipp Youngbear made an initial appearance on a willful injury-causing serious injury charge. Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 16. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. Youngbear was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Emilio Romero made an initial appearance on a willful injury-causing serious injury charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 16. • Ramon Jesus Mora made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 6.

• Jacee Thomas Chesick made an initial appearance on a interference with officials acts charge, a criminal mischief charge and a public intoxication charge. Chesick pleaded guilty to all charges and the fines are $710 with a $106.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $879.50, due by Dec. 31.
