• On Wednesday, a hit and run accident with damage to vehicle only was reported in the 400 block of North 12th Avenue.

Accidents

• On Sunday, Jan. 16, an SUV driven by Wade Rushton Reed, 33, of Ottumwa, was southbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer that exited the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Reed SUV was estimated at $4,000.

• On Saturday, Jan. 15, an SUV driven by Steven James Schrader, 36, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the road from the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Schrader SUV was estimated at $1,500.

• On Friday, Jan. 14, a pickup driven by Melesio Liera Patricio, 60, of Le Grand, was northbound on Zeller Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Liera Patricio pickup was estimated at $8,000.

• On Thursday, Jan. 13, a car driven by Cody Douglas Walters, 24, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Marshalltown Boulevard when a deer entered the roadway from the south ditch and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Walters car was estimated at $3,000.

• On Tuesday, Jan. 4, a car driven by Cassandra Dawn Barrett, 38, of State Center, was northbound on Cooper Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Barrett car was estimated at $5,000.
