Accidents

• On Monday, June 20, a car driven by Conner Steven Bockes, 20, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Highland Acres Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Bockes car was estimated at $1,500.

• On Saturday, June 18, a car driven by Aspen Quay Lovan, 49, of Des Moines, was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer causing severe front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Lovan car was estimated at $15,000.

• On Saturday, June 11, an SUV driven by Mikel Edward Eckhardt, 66, of State Center, was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that ran in front of his vehicle causing minor damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Eckhardt SUV was estimated at $10,000.

• On Saturday, June 11, an SUV driven by Matthew Scott Gilgen, 38, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the north ditch causing heavy front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Gilgen SUV was estimated at $15,000.

• On Friday, two people reported two thefts from a building, two burglaries and one theft of a motor vehicle valued at more than $10,000 from the 600 block of North First Avenue.

• On Thursday, a theft valued at less than $300 was reported in the 100 block of North First Street.

• On Thursday, a theft valued at less than $300 was reported in the 1000 block of Iowa Avenue East.

• On Thursday, Marsiano Jose Galvez, 24, was cited for failure to yield upon entering a stop/yield intersection.
