• Malissa Ann Desaussure failed to make an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. The court found Desaussure guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Gerardo Garcia Martinez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Garcia Martinez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

Accidents
• On Monday, Jan. 14, a pickup driven by Jordan Michael Million, 23, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Summit Street when a deer entered the roadway. Million applied the brakes on the pickup, swerved to miss the deer striking the east bridge guardrail and sustaining heavy front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Million pickup was estimated at $10,000 while the bridge guardrail received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
