A Marshalltown man was arrested for Domestic Abuse/Assault Impeding Flow of Air/Blood Strangulation by Marshalltown police earlier this week, according to an MPD report. Ralph Henry Maxwell III, 28, was arrested by the MPD after officers responded to a call at a residence in the 1000 block of West Lincolnway. Maxwell allegedly placed his arm around the pregnant victim’s throat, according to Marshall County District Court records. However, the victim did not lose consciousness. Maxwell was transported to Marshall County Jail and later released on his own recognizance. His preliminary hearing is April 24 at 1 p.m.
