Wednesday morning inside the Dack LRC at the Iowa Veterans Home, IVH volunteers got to have coffee and refreshments with Commandant Timon Oujiri. This first ever event is intended to give volunteers a chance to socialize with each other and to get general updates from the commandant on the running of the facility. Currently, there are 50 weekly volunteers, 150 monthly volunteers and over 800 yearly volunteers registered with IVH. More volunteers are always needed, particularly in helping residents get to IVH religious services on Sundays, and for recreational activities.
