Authorities have arrested a woman after she allegedly took photos and a video with her cell phone of a Marshalltown nursing home resident in a state of partial undress.

According to the Marshalltown Police Department, McKenzie Lane Anderson, 25, was employed by Villa Del Sol (now known as Hawkeye Care Center) when she allegedly used a cell phone to take the photos and video. She subsequently released the video via social media.

The alleged incident occured this past April, and following an investigation by the nursing home and later the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, Anderson was terminated from her position at the nursing home and a report was filed with the MPD.

Capt. Brian Batterson said the MPD received the report in August, and following its investigation, arrested Anderson this week, charging her with dependant adult abuse/exploitation.
