Members of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office staff recently participated in an in-house weight loss challenge. Coordinated by jailer Shelby Pennington, the “Biggest Loser” competition prompted 18 members of the staff to participate. Since the fall when the competition got under way, until last week with the final weigh-ins, the participants successfully lost 300 pounds collectively. “I am so proud of the MCSO coming together to get healthy, lose weight and support each other,” said Pennington, pictured here with Chief Jailer Pat White, during his final weigh-in. The top four competitors were: First place — Aaron Bullock, 40 lbs. (19.05 percent of his total body weight); Second place — White, 47 lbs. (16.79 percent of his total body weight); Third place — Steve Atcher — 36 lbs. (13.85 percent of his total body weight); and Fourth place — Wendell Millizer — 43 lbs. (12.91 percent of his total body weight).
