Due to inclement weather in the Marshalltown area late Tuesday afternoon, the scheduled Doggie Dip event at the Marshalltown Aquatic Center was cancelled, according to the Marshalltown Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

The event would have given area dogs a chance to splash around at the pool. The event will not be rescheduled, per the Facebook post.

The aquatic center closed its doors to swimmers for the season on Sunday.
