A local man was arrested and taken to Marshall County Jail by Marshalltown police Saturday after he threatened to assault two individuals, according to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in Marshall County District Court.
Raymond Joseph Willson, 30, threatened the victims with a deadly weapon, placing the victims in fear of their lives. The defendant was charged with first-degree harassment.
Capt. Brian Batterson of the MPD said the defendant lived near the victims, who reported to the MPD the defendant had made claims to do both bodily harm. The defendant could not be found initially, Batterson said, but was picked up later.
A Marshall County Magistrate issued a no contact order against the defendant, meaning he can not contact the victim, including use of social media. Willson’s initial appearance is Sept. 28.
