Local police ask for information on recent robberies

There have been no new developments on an armed robbery earlier this month at the Git N Go convenience store in the 900 block of West Lincoln Way and another robbery Sept. 16, at the Express Mart convenience store, 229 N. 13th St.

“We are reviewing surveillance video and evidence collected from the (Git N Go) scene but nothing new to report on the robbery,” Capt. Brian Batterson of the MPD said. “We have received some tips on the 13th St burglary and are looking into them.”

A male suspect entered the Git N Go at 11:54 p.m. Nov. 2, displayed a weapon and demanded store receipts from an employee. The individual fled the scene and remains at large.

Subjects entered the Express Mart at 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 16.

Residents with information on suspects in the incidents are asked to contact the MPD at 641-754-5725 or contact the Marshall County Crime Stoppers, 641-753-1234, or via text by texting the word “Marshall” followed by the tip to CRIMES (274637) or online at marshallcountycs.com.
