One man killed in vehicle rollover
One man was killed shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday when his pickup rolled-over on Highway 30 near mile marker 179, according to an Iowa State Patrol report.
Chase Allen Clark, 22, of Marshalltown was eastbound on Highway 30 driving a 1992 Ford Ranger and entered the middle of the median. He re-entered Highway 30, crossed both lanes and went into an embankment and rolled-over. Clark, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
“Sadly, this is the second traffic fatality in Marshall County in three weeks where a young adult driver was not wearing a seat belt, ejected from a vehicle and killed,” Marshall County Sheriff Steve Hoffman said. “These are two tragedies.”
