‘Vest for the Best’ equipment delivered to Marshalltown

T-R PHOTO BY ADAM SODDERS - The protective equipment was delivered Tuesday at the Marshall County SheriffÕs Office. The project was spearheaded by the Advocates for Marshall County Rescue Personnel and the equipment was purchased from RMA Armament of Centerville. It is meant to protect local law enforcement officers, firefighters and other first responders from ballistic harm. Teamsters Local 238 helped deliver the equipment and funding was provided by local citizens and funding from the Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation, Alliant Energy, Community Foundation of Marshall County, 100 Women Who Care, Rotary Club of Marshalltown members, Ann C. Keyser Charitable Trust, Emerson and others.
