A Marshalltown man was taken into custody by Marshalltown police and jailed recently after being charged with indecent contact with an 11-year-old over clothing, two counts of child endangerment-bodily injury — a Class D felony — and neglect or abandonment of dependent person, according to criminal complaints and affidavits filed in Marshall County District Court.

Dustin Allen Inman, 50, was ordered to be held in jail on $10,000 cash only bond. Additionally, a magistrate ordered a no contact order against the defendant to protect the victim, and appointed the defendant a public defender. The defendant’s preliminary hearing is May 13.
