Man arrested third time for domestic abuse assault

Boge

A Marshalltown man was arrested Tuesday by Marshalltown police for domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony.

Michael Allen Boge, 55, was charged because a witness observed him striking the victim inside a vehicle. The defendant was located in the vehicle identified by the witness with blood on his hands. The victim was located inside the vehicle with blood on her face and clothing, according to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in Marshall County District Court.

The defendant was taken to Marshall County Jail following the investigation. At his initial appearance before a magistrate, the defendant was ordered held in jail on $5,000 cash or surety bond. The magistrate also appointed the defendant a public defender, and issued a no contact order to protect the victim. The defendant’s preliminary hearing is June 28.
