Segovia

A local man was arrested by Marshalltown police recently for domestic abuse assault-second offense after he allegedly hit the victim in the shoulder with a baseball bat, threw her around an apartment and hit her repeatedly for an extended period.

Henry Alfred Segovia, 36, was taken into custody on a warrant issued for his arrest. During an investigation, it was determined Segovia had caused injury to the victim, according to criminal complaints and affidavits filed in Marshall County District Court.

A magistrate issued a no contact order to protect the victim and also appointed the defendant a public defender. Segovia is being held in Marshall County Jail on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
