Marshalltown Police ask public to check properties for missing woman

Marshalltown Police ask the public to check their private properties for a woman that went missing Friday.

Jazmin Reyes Raya, 18, is 5’0 and weighs 130 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and light colored blue jeans at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Friday in the area of North Fifth Street and Hughes Street.

Her family said she is autistic and communicates at a childlike level. Jazmin has a seizure disorder and has been without her daily medication since Friday evening. It is possible she could have taken shelter in an unlocked building, outbuilding, vehicle, etc.

Social media speculation suggesting she is staying with a friend or boyfriend is unfounded, police said in a statement. Public safety personnel have conducted ground and water searches in the area where Jazmin was last seen. These efforts are ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this missing person investigation is asked to contact the Marshalltown Police Department at 641-754-5725.
