Man threatens to kill via text
A local man was arrested by Marshalltown police and taken to Marshall County Jail Thursday after he threatened to kill a resident via text, according to court records. Louis Ancil Walsingham, 27, was charged with two counts of harassment-first degree according to a criminal complaint.
Harassment-first degree is an aggravated misdemeanor.
At his initial appearance Friday, a magistrate ordered Walsingham held on $2,000 cash or surety bond on each count. Additionally, the magistrate issued a no contact order against Walsingham to protect the victim. Walsingham was also appointed a public defender.
