Halloween activities set in Marshall County
The Halloween season is here and communities in Marshall County have festivities planned.
Marshalltown:
• Oct. 26, American Legion Post 46, 1301 S. Sixth St., 4-6 p.m., Trunk or Treat; 7 p.m., adult costume party featuring the live music of Paul Michael Davis from Wikid Likir. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes. The event will also feature a chili cook-off and a silent auction.
• Oct. 31, Journey Church, 700 E. Olive St., 5-6:30 p.m., Trunk or Treat featuring inflatables and food trucks; 5:30-7 p.m., city-wide trick or treating; 5:30-7 p.m., Marshalltown First Friends Church, 2409 S. Sixth St., Trunk or Treat featuring free hot dogs to the first 300 people.
• Oct. 31, MHS Trunk or Treat, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., MHS Parking Lot
Albion:
• Oct. 26, Albion Municipal Library, 400 N. Main St., 4-6 p.m., community halloween party featuring a costume parade and contest, crafts, pumpkin painting, stories, games and a movie.
• Oct. 31, 5:30-7 p.m., city-wide trick or treating.
Conrad:
• Oct. 31, 5:30-8:30 p.m., city-wide trick or treating.
Gladbrook:
• Oct 31, 4:45-5:45 p.m., United Methodist Church, 715 Lincoln St., hot dog and chip supper; 6-7:30 p.m., Westbrook Acres Nursing Home, 605 Garfield St., trick or treating; 6-8 p.m., downtown activities include a hay bale maze, a haunted trailer, trunk or treating and city-wide trick or treating will be held at the same time.
Le Grand:
• Oct. 31, Le Grand Fire Station, 707 W. Main St., 5 p.m., Halloween party; 5:30-7:30 p.m., city-wide trick or treating.
State Center:
• Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m., Main Street, Trunk or Treat featuring a photo booth, ghost stories, carriage rides, corn dogs and caramel apple nachos.
