Expanded dog park to open on Tuesday
The grand opening of “Corey’s Puppy Park” will be Tuesday at the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown.
With a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m., an open house will follow until 6 p.m. at the 1921 Taylor Ave. location.
The park is in memoriam of Corey Brown, who died in January at the age of 13. His family directed memorials to the ARL. Corey wanted to become a veterinarian and loved dogs.
The money given to the ARL in Corey’s memory is how the facility was able to add dog runs with playground equipment to the backyard of the dog adoption center.
