Former U.S. Secretary of State, Massachusetts senator and presidential candidate John Kerry will be in Marshalltown at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the UAW Hall, 411 Iowa Ave. W.

He is a surrogate in the week-long Joe Biden “We Know Joe” bus tour which will visit 20 counties in Iowa.

Kerry was the Democratic nominee in the 2004 presidential election and won the Iowa caucus. He lost the race to Republican President George W. Bush.
