239 cases of COVID-19 in Marshall County

Marshall County has 239 cases of COVID-19, which was confirmed on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the number was 224, so there was an additional 15 cases were confirmed, which is a lot less than the 51 new cases reported on Tuesday.

The Iowa Department of Public Health confirmed 107 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, which brings the state total to 3,748. Of those, 1,428 Iowans have recovered.

Wednesday also brought seven deaths in the state, for a total of 90 fatal COVID-19 cases.

An outbreak was reported at St. Francis Manor, a long-term care facility, in Grinnell. Eleven outbreaks in long-term care facility have been reported.

There have been 28,244 tests conducted.

Marshall County is in Regional Medical Coordination Centers Region 1. Other counties in Region 1 are Adair, Appanoose, Boone, Carroll, Clark, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Tama, Union, Warren and Wayne.

In Region 1, there are 78 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Of those, 19 are in intensive care units and 11 are on ventilators.
