There are 60 patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in Region 1. Of those, 23 are in intensive care units and 18 are on ventilators.

The region has a score of 8 on an Iowa Department of Public Health assessment scale being used by Gov. Kim Reynolds to determine whether or not to enforce more restrictions in areas of the state.
