16 additional cases in Marshall County

The number of coronavirus cases continues to rise in Iowa. Marshall County had 794 positive cases confirmed on Sunday. Of those, 394 people in the county have recovered.

Marshall County has one of the highest numbers of cases in the state. Other counties with many cases are Polk with 2,922 cases, Woodbury with 2,215, Black Hawk with 1,587 and Linn with 896.

There were 323 additional cases of COVID-19 in Iowa on Sunday, bringing the total number of positive cases to 14,651. Of those, 7,154 have recovered.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Iowa is 351 in total with five additional deaths reported Sunday. Deaths were confirmed in Black Hawk County, Dallas County, Muscatine County, Polk County and Tama County.

Marshall County has had five confirmed COVID-19 deaths.

There are 376 patients hospitalized in Iowa, a decrease of 11 from Saturday. There are 124 Iowans in intensive care units and 85 on ventilators.

In Iowa, 100,241 tests have been conducted.
