The City of Marshalltown will proceed with an auction of the fire station property, 109 South First Avenue/8 East Linn Street, but not quite as planned.

With Van Metre Auction, the auction will now be held online using an online meeting application to facilitate a “live” auction. The online auction is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 6.

The winning bid and bidder will then be included in an agenda of the June 8 meeting to set a public hearing on the sale. The public hearing is scheduled for June 22.
