Marshall County has 896 cases of COVID-19

As of Monday, there are 896 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Marshall County. Of the total, 534 Marshall County residents have recovered.

Marshall County is in the top six counties with the highest COVID-19 cases. The others are Polk with 4,240; Woodbury, 2,761; Black Hawk, 1,748; Linn, 955; and Dallas, 909.

Across the state, there have been 19,690 positive cases. Of those, 11,272 have recovered. The case numbers on the Iowa Department of Public Health COVID-19 website are updated throughout the day.

There are 339 Iowans hospitalized with the virus. Of those, 125 are in intensive care units and 73 are on ventilators.

Marshall County has two recorded outbreaks in long-term care facilities. The Iowa Veterans Home has had 33 positive cases of COVID-19, with 16 recovered and Accura HealthCare of Marshalltown has had 55 cases, with 21 recovered.

Hospital activity is displayed by regions on the Iowa Department of Pubic Health website, coronavirus.iowa.gov. Marshall County is in Regional Medical Coordination Center Region 1, which has 142 hospitalized patients. Of those, 35 are in intensive care units and 16 are on ventilators.

There have been 16 COVID-19 deaths in Marshall County and 540 statewide.

There have been159,294 tests conducted. Across the state, 563,842 Test Iowa assessments have been conducted – 2,013 in Marshall County.
