Marshalltown Mayor Joel Greer confirmed Thursday that trick-or-treating will be on Halloween from 5:30 p.m. to 7p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. However, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community, the city is recommending Marshalltown residents instead participate in activities deemed low or moderate risk by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Those activities include carving or decorating pumpkins or gathering outdoors with a small group for a costume parade.
