Due to retirements in 2021, Marshalltown Fire Department will experience several personnel changes and promotions. In February, Lieutenant Nathan White was promoted to the rank of captain and Firefighter Curtis Raue was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. On April 12, Firefighter Jason Johnston was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. These individuals completed additional certification training to prepare themselves for the positions they were promoted to.
