MEMBERS1st Community Credit Union is excited to announce the winners of its 2022 College Scholarship program.

As part of the application process, students submitted a 300-500 word essay detailing what methods they would use to attract and retain credit union members if they were in charge. Each of the following area senior high school members received a $1,000 College Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year: Rochelle Avalos, of Marshalltown; Mason Engle, of Marshalltown; Gannon Williams, of Marshalltown.

A post-high school scholarship went to member Klaudia Hernandez, of Marshalltown.

“We’re pleased to be offering these scholarships for the eighth year in a row,” said MEMBERS1st CEO Janet Borer. “The scholarship essays offer great insight into how MEMBERS1st can best serve our members, now and in the future, and we’re very excited to play a role in contributing to their educations!”
