Rodney Craig Vaughn, 64
Rodney Craig Vaughn, 64, formally of Marshalltown Iowa died December 23, 2015. He was born October 24,1951, to Johnnie and Doris Vaughn in Marshalltown, Iowa. He graduated Marshalltown High School in 1969, and Marshalltown Community College in 1971 with a Certificate in Machine Technology. Rod had two sons from a previous marriage, Scott and Darin Vaughn. He married Joanne Simpson in 1995, they made their home in Salt Lake City, UT. Rod was employed at Oil-Weil Inc. at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife Joanne, of Salt Lake City, UT; sons Scott (Sherry) Vaughn, of Garwin, and Darin (Jackie) Vaughn, of Marshalltown, step-daughter Nicole (Nick) Slosky, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; his grandchildren: Austin, Emily, Lexi, Jake, Finley, Caleb and Brianna; 8 brothers and 3 sisters: Don (Linda) Vaughn, of Sioux Falls, SD, Janell Runner, of Marshalltown, Ronda Vaughn, of Monument, CO, Randy (Cindy) Vaughn, of Marshalltown, Rick Vaughn, of New Providence, Tim (Becky) Vaughn, of Marshalltown, Kevin (Traci) Vaughn, of Marshalltown, Doug (Lisa) Vaughn, of Colo, Dennis (Chris) Vaughn, of Colo, Dan (Jeanine) Vaughn, of Boone, Joanie (Bob) Jamison, of Colo; 25 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew Christopher.
