TOLEDO-LeDonia M. Asmussen, 98, formerly of Cedar Rapids passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Premier Estates of Toledo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Chelsea. Rosary & Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Service from 10 -11 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 900 Park Street, Tama.
Her family was of great importance to her with five nieces and two nephews surviving her; a sister-in-law, and 14 Great Nieces & Nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, LaVerne and Franklin Asmussen; nephew, James Asmussen; and sister-in-law, Velma Asmussen.
Memorials may be made to your favorite Catholic charity, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary (Cedar Rapids) or donor’s charity of choice.
The Family is most grateful for the excellent care given to LeDonia by the staff at Premier Estates over the past several years.
