Sue A. Sage nee Greiner, 58, of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away on May 15, 2016, at her home. Sue was born on November 22, 1957, to George E. and Evelyn M. Greiner in Marshalltown, IA. She graduated form Marshalltown High School in 1976. She received her Associate of Arts Degree from Marshalltown Community College. She then received her Bachelor’s degree in Art from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was united in marriage to Gregory F. Sage on May 17, 1980. They made their home in Cedar Rapids, IA for 17 years where she worked for Phelan’s Interiors as an interior designer and then as a regional sales rep. for the Onthank Co. in Des Moines, IA., clients including the interior design community and architects in Eastern IA. Greg and Sue relocated to Glen Ellyn, IL where she was involved as a volunteer in PTA and church. She was a two time cancer survivor and volunteered many years for the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery Program, both in Iowa and Illinois. She was also blessed with artistic talent which she used and loved to create art and had her own jewelry design business for many years.
