Betty Bramwell, 91, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Iowa River Hospice Home, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Private family graveside services will follow. Betty was born March 26, 1926, to Dr. Everett and Lilian (Genrich) Plass, in Iowa City, IA. She grew up in Iowa City and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in social work. While in college she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. After college she moved to Des Moines, IA. Betty was united in marriage to Willis Bramwell Jr. on March 19, 1956. They settled in Marshalltown to raise their two boys, Bill and John. Betty was a member of the Assistance League, P.E.O., Central Iowa Art Association, and volunteered packing food boxes at the Food Bank. She found great joy spending the winters in Sanibel, FL, walking the beaches, creating art and being with her dearest love, Willis.
Betty will be missed by two sons; Bill (Leslie) Bramwell, John (Lee) Bramwell; four grandchildren: Robert (Jennifer) Bramwell, Kevin Bramwell, Catherine (Geoff) Miller, Emma (Kyle Littrel) Bramwell; a great granddaughter, Julia Miller, and one on the way to Robert and Jennifer Bramwell.
She was preceded in by her husband Willis.
